Well, it’s been a good week.
My parents have been with us for 8 days. We’ve toured some sites. We’ve shopped ‘til we dropped. We’ve eaten some seriously good food. We’ve laughed hysterically. We’ve just simply enjoyed each other’s company. And now we’ve just closed this week with bittersweet farewells.
We’ve tried our best to stay off of social media for the most part this past week, so we could actually enjoy being in the moment.
Having Tabitha’s siblings visit a couple of months back, and now with just hosting my parents, these weeks have literally been the BIGGEST highlights of our summer.
We miss our families so very much. It’s been unbelievably hard being newlyweds who have moved well over 1,000 miles away from our loved ones to help plant a church in a place that none of our friends and family really want to come to … lol. But we are indeed grateful for the short amounts of time we’ve gotten with them since we’ve been wed.
Here’s to a good week.
Here’s to safe travels as my Ma and Pa begin their journey back to Indiana. (Friends, would you mind praying for them / sending good vibes and well-wishes their way as they drive back? We’d be so appreciative.)
And here’s to when we’ll see them next (CHRISTMAS!)
Until then, we now await the arrival of Tabitha’s parents later this year.
