The madness continues!

Joint-birthday gifts. A pair of @toms for me. And a pair for @tlcaudillo. We have a self-rule (mainly because of me, lol) where one of us can’t buy something cool for the other and not get something out of the deal also. It worked out very nicely here, for example. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The way he displays that left fang when you have something he wants. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I’ve seen that fang every day for three years, and it’s still hilarious.

Pardon me, but I just have to take a brief moment and brag on a real sweet friend of mine: @jeremyweldon. Immensely grateful for the encouragement this dude brings to my life and how he constantly shows me Jesus through his words, his actions, and his life. Thanks for the many good chats and laughs. And most importantly, thanks for keeping me humble, bro! #DrummerWithAPulpit. (at Bismarck, ND) View Larger

Well, it’s been a good week.

My parents have been with us for 8 days. We’ve toured some sites. We’ve shopped ‘til we dropped. We’ve eaten some seriously good food. We’ve laughed hysterically. We’ve just simply enjoyed each other’s company. And now we’ve just closed this week with bittersweet farewells.

We’ve tried our best to stay off of social media for the most part this past week, so we could actually enjoy being in the moment.

Having Tabitha’s siblings visit a couple of months back, and now with just hosting my parents, these weeks have literally been the BIGGEST highlights of our summer.

We miss our families so very much. It’s been unbelievably hard being newlyweds who have moved well over 1,000 miles away from our loved ones to help plant a church in a place that none of our friends and family really want to come to … lol. But we are indeed grateful for the short amounts of time we’ve gotten with them since we’ve been wed.

Here’s to a good week.

Here’s to safe travels as my Ma and Pa begin their journey back to Indiana. (Friends, would you mind praying for them / sending good vibes and well-wishes their way as they drive back? We’d be so appreciative.)

And here’s to when we’ll see them next (CHRISTMAS!)

Until then, we now await the arrival of Tabitha’s parents later this year.

A HUGE “Thank you!” to all who lent listening ears yesterday out at #UrbanHarvest. I deeply appreciate all of the support — it’s been about four years since the last real gig where I performed my own music, so nerves were indeed running wild. Nevertheless, it was a fun afternoon. And after it was all said and done, a photographer ran at me from across the way and just HAD to take a picture because my beard is apparently the most majestic thing he’s ever seen. Ha! (This is the photo he took.) #NoFilter. #AsIs. (at Urban Harvest) View Larger

After a crazy couple of weeks full of rehearsals and touring with @thelastechoband, it was time for a LONG overdue date night complete with dinner and a movie with my LOVELY bride, @tlcaudillo! Super grateful for her love, support, and patience as we get adjusted to the lifestyle of me being a very full-time musician. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this woman! ๐Ÿ˜ (at Olive Garden) View Larger
